Louise Schuler at 76 former music director DEERIELD Louise (George) Schuler 76 of 18 Brae Burn Road South Deerfield a re tired director of the former Am herst Summer Music Center died Wednesday in the ranklin Reha bilitation Center Greenfield She directed the center with her husband for four years at the Uni versity of Massachusetts before moving it to Sebago Maine She retired in 1976 Born in Utica NY she was edu cated in the Springfield schools She moved to South Deerfield in 1961 She was graduated from Sacred Heart High School and attended the University of Georgia in Ath ens She was a member of St Church and a volunteer in the former arren Guild She belonged to the Amherst College and Deerfield Academy faculty clubs She leaves her husband Dr Clement Schuler two brothers Raymond George of Montague and Albert George of Sturbridge a sis ter Alma George of Springfield several nieces and nephews The funeral will be Saturday morning in the church with burial in the spring at ederal Street Washington Street School in Springfield died Wednesday in a Northampton nursing home rom 1930 to 1950 she taught in the Deerfield schools She taught later at the Brightwood Elemen tary School and the Brookings Ele mentary School She retired from the Washington Street School in 1969 She was also a tour director for the Genovese World Travel Agency in Springfield Born in Amherst she was gra duated from Amherst High School in 1928 and later from North Adams Teachers College She re ceived her degree in 1956 from Springfield College She was a member of irst Bap tist Church in Amherst and a past matron of the Order of the East ern Star Charles Dunklee II manager for utility church lay reader HAMPDEN Charles Dunklee II 56 of 94 North Road died Thursday in Baystate Medical Center Springfield He was the community relations manager for Northeast Utilities in Wethersfield Conn He also was the manager of the Chambers of Commerce in Ben nington Vt Brattleboro Vt and Lawrence Born in Rutland Vt he lived for many years in Hampden He was graduated from Bryant College in Rhode Island He was a lay reader vestryman and communicant at St She was also instrumental in starting the Amherst Golf Club at the Amherst Golf Course She leaves a brother Donald ish of Vero Beach la A memorial service will be con ducted Saturday in the church Douglass uneral Home is in charge There are no calling hours Margarete Klemm NORTHAMPTON Margarete (Schuster) Klemm 97 of 5 rank lin St died Tuesday in a local nursing home Born in Munich Germany she lived for many years in the New York area before moving to Northampton She was a member of lorence Congrega tional Church She was the wife of the late Otto Klemm She leaves a stepdaughter Hilda Mueller of Texas and several nieces and nephews in Germany The the Church of the Nativity She leaves two brothers Armand Ducharme of Belchertown and Er nest Ducharme of Chicopee and a sister Cecile Langlais of Chico pee A memorial service will be conducted Thursday at her home in Longmeadow Born in Springfield she was graduated in 1951 from Classical High School She lived in Long meadow most of her life She was graduated from 'the University of Massachusetts in 1955' and was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority She was a member of irst Church of Christ in Longmeadow and its Benevolent Society She was an associate member of the Community Congregational Church in Naples She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revo lution the Springfield Hospital Auxiliary the Longmeadow Wo CLub the Longmeadow Country Club the Junior League of Springfield the National So ciety of Colonial Dames of the 17th Century and The Club at Pel ican Bay in Naples She was a former member of the Chorale and Theater Group at UMass She leaves her husband Clifton Johnson Jr a son Scott of Longmeadow a daughter Tiffany Johnson at home her mother Catherine Greene of Longmea dow and a granddaughter A memorial service will be con ducted
