Dan Hurley's players got off to a hot start and never looked back. Miami's impressive March Madness run was brought to an anticlimactic end. The Hurricanes' star guard trio of Nijel Pack, Isaiah Wong and Jordan Miller wasn't able to conjure up another magical performance, going a combined 11 of 30 from the field. But Jim Larrañaga's squad can still take pride in reaching the Final Four for the first time in school history.

(All times Eastern.)

11:20 p.m. FINAL— There's the final buzzer. UConn was able to fend off every run Miami threatened to make in the second half. Adama Sanogo was spectacular, finishing with 21 points and 10 rebounds. The Huskies will play San Diego State in the 2023 NCAA Championship this Monday night.

11:15 p.m.— This game is all but over. The Connecticut Huskies will move on to play for their fifth national title in program history on Monday night.

11:06 p.m.— Karaban gets a bucket and the foul, and that could just about do it. The Huskies have a 12-point lead and they're just 3 minutes and 57 seconds away from a spot in the championship.

11:02 p.m.— Miami is hanging around, but they haven't quite been able to close the gap enough to make this close. A Bensley Joseph three-pointer has cut the deficit to ten points with six minutes remaining, but time is running out.

10:53 p.m.— It's worth noting that Sanogo has been this dominant tonight despite the fact he has been fasting for Ramadan for more than a week. He hasn't been able to eat or drink between sunrise and sunset, and he was only able to finally get some food about 30 minutes before this game tipped off. Truly impressive. For more on his observance of Ramadan, here's a story by The Sporting News' Zac Al-Khateeb.

10:47 p.m.— Miami has suddenly caught fire! Wong knocks down a triple to close the gap to eight points, the closest it has been since the first half. But Donovan Clingan stops the run with a tough putback before Hawkins steps up with a big three-pointer. With less than ten minutes remaining, UConn leads 58-45.

10:45 p.m.— CBS' Tracy Wolfson just reported Nijel Pack has had to check out of the game because his shoe broke. He apparently doesn't have a backup pair, so an equipment manager is having to run around looking for a pair. Bizarre situation here, and not a good one for the Hurricanes.

10:39 p.m.— We have signs of life from Miami. An 11-3 run, capped off by a beautiful steal and assist by Omier, has cut the deficit to 12 points. There's still a long way to go, but the Hurricanes really needed that momentum shift.

10:32 p.m.— Jim Larrañaga looks on in dismay as his Hurricanes fall to a 20-point deficit minutes into the second half. They just cannot stop Sanogo, and Karaban seems to be heating up after draining another one from deep. With 16:09 remaining, the Huskies hold a very comfortable 46-28 lead.

10:27 p.m.— We are underway in the second half. UConn is 20 minutes away from a spot in the national championship.

10:20 p.m.— Miami's keys to the second half are stopping — or at least slowing down—Adama Sanogo, getting forward Norchad Omier going and making some shots from beyond the arc. If they can do those things, this game isn't over just yet.

10:05 p.m. HALFTIME— The Huskies go on a tear to end the half on an 18-5 run! Alex Karaban drains a three at the buzzer to make it 37-24 UConn at the break. That's Miami's lowest-scoring half of the entire season so far. The Hurricanes need a big turnaround if they want to avoid going home.

9:56 p.m.— UConn has gone on an 8-0 run since Miami tied things up at 19 apiece. The Huskies lead 27-19 with 3:56 left in a low-scoring first half.

9:49 p.m.— Adama Sanogo has his fingerprints all over this first half. The junior forward from Mali leads all scorers with 13 points so far.

9:42 p.m.— Miami briefly tied things up at 19-19 after a Nijel Pack three-pointer, but Joey Calcaterra restored UConn's lead with a layup at the other end. The Huskies lead by two with 7:40 left in the first half.

9:37 p.m.— The Hurricanes are fighting back after falling down by double-digits early. Harlond Beverly just threw down a huge dunk in transition after a steal by Anthony Walker to cut the deficit to just three points. This nifty finish by Bensley Joseph also helped close the gap:

9:29 p.m.— UConn's Tristen Newton pulls up from way beyond the arc and finds nothing but net. These Huskies look extremely confident and locked in. They're out to a 14-4 lead.

9:21 p.m.— Well, Hawkins looks fine early on! He drains a three-pointer just ten seconds into the game, then Adama Sanogo rains in two triples of his own to make it 9-0 Huskies. What a start for Dan Hurley's squad.

9:15 p.m.— Here we go. The second Final Four matchup of this year's tournament starts right now.

9:11 p.m.— CBS' Tracy Wolfson just reported UConn's star guard Jordan Hawkins has been battling a stomach illness throughout this week. He'll be out there tonight, but we'll have to wait and see if he looks 100 percent.

9:02 p.m.— Looks like the Hurricanes were just as shocked by the end of that FAU-San Diego State game as the rest of us.

8:58 p.m.— The stage is set for the Hurricanes and Huskies. We now know the winner of this game will take on San Diego State in the national championship after the Aztecs' thrilling buzzer-beater to knock off Florida Atlantic just minutes ago. Who will punch the final ticket to the title game?
