10 Sep 2007 - 22:34, by chuck Last Saturday we had to cancel that night's show in Germany, at the Master of Cover festival. We wrote in short why we had to do this, but after a weekend in which we learned that there's more than just playing some music, we'll explain a bit further.

Last Friday Betty, our Edge's girlfriend, ended up on the first aid of the Wilhelmina Hospital in Nijmegen, with serious pains in her stomach. After some examinations it appeared that she needed an examination surgery. Things seemed bad after that, so real surgery was needed and it appeared that an infection of the pancreas (Dutch: alvleesklier) and Peritoneum (Dutch: buikvlies) created a life threatening situation.

Betty was taken into Intensive Care, where she's been kept asleep and got artificial respiration (Dutch: beademing) since the operation. At the moment the situation is stable and the doctors try to over win the infections but medications, but they are still waiting for the results of some tests before the can really heal the source of the infection.

We wish Betty and Sander all the strength they need to get well, we're there in our minds.
